Nikon just launched the Z5, a full frame camera that shares a lot of features with the Z6, but is sold at a much lower price point, moving the entry point to Nikon full frame mirrorless further down to 1399 USD. Not only is the price fantastic, Nikon is admitting that they've listened to their users and opted for dual SD card slots instead of a single XQD or CFexpress card slot that they offered in their first generation Z cameras. This is a great sign for the upcoming Z6 and Z7 successors, that should be just a few months away at this point. I personally don't care about two card slots, but I do prefer SD over anything else, because the XQD and CFexpress cards are expensive and you need to buy a new reader as well. That's a substantial extra cost, which I don't really need, since I mainly shoot stills. I really hope this move shows Nikon will continue to add SD card slots to their upcoming cameras, at least one slot out of two would be nice, I don't need more.
The Z5 was also launched with a very small 24-50mm lens.
It looks like a great walk-around lens.
A very nice kit for travelers, or parents of newborns.
