Nikon Taiwan posted high resolution images taken with the new Z 70-200mm f/2.8 lens

September 29, 2020

Nikon Taiwan just published some amazing full resolution photos taken with the Z7 and the new Nikon Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S lens, from portraits to landscapes all the way to family snaps. The pictures look amazing in their full 45 mpxl glory (just click on them and they will open up in a new tab). This is probably one of the best full frame zoom lenses ever made. The image quality is ridiculous.

A screen grab from the Nikon Taiwan post.

  1. Z7II is probably my next camera and what will get me shooting Nikon MILC. The first gen just lacked a couple of features that are important to me. Excited to own this lens, too, when I can eventually afford it...

    1. I'm waiting to see how the Z6 II will look like. My D810 with 36 mpxl is a plenty for me, I don't need more resolution. I'd rather have a good hybrid camera with 24 mpxls, and I don't want to pay too much for that. So maybe I will opt for the Z6 or Z5, if the Z6 II isn't that much better. In any way I will wait for next year to catch some promotions. I bought the D810 when the D850 was announced, I always try to upgrade at such transitions to not overpay. Great times for Nikon shooters.

  2. I would love to have this lens, but unfortunately it's way above my budget. Maybe one day...
